Stanley Bill is associate professor of Polish studies and director of the Slavonic Studies Section at the University of Cambridge. He is the author of Czesław Miłosz’s _Faith in the Flesh: Body, Belief, and __Human Identity_, co-editor of _The Routledge World __Companion to Polish Literature_, and translator of Miłosz’s novel _The Mountains of Parnassus._
